Aaron Petty, The Senior Staff Attorney for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, along with a few current clerks, will be speaking about clerkship opportunities. At the Seventh Circuit, staff law clerkships combine the intellectual rigor of a chambers clerkship with benefits not available to chambers clerks. Like chambers clerks, staff law clerks recommend dispositions on a broad spectrum of cases. These range from cases involving pro se litigants to fully counseled, orally argued cases, including some of the court’s most controversial appeals. Appendix M of the Clerkship Manual has a list of alumni who have worked in the Office of Staff Attorneys at the Seventh Circuit. All students are invited.
