Open to the Law School community

Have you ever wanted to mentor an undergraduate student who is interested in the law?

If so, sign-up for the UChicago Careers in Law (UCIL) Mentorship Program!

The program, hosted by UChicago Careers in Law, matches UChicago Law School students with undergraduate students who are in the beginning stages of their legal careers. This is a great opportunity to give back to the larger UChicago community. Your insights into the application process, what it means to be a law student (and a lawyer), and the many career paths one can pursue with a law degree are invaluable resources to UChicago’s undergraduate students.

The UCIL Mentorship program is flexibly structured. The minimum required participation is 1 mentor-mentee meeting a quarter, but depending on the relationship and your availability, more meetings are certainly encouraged. UCIL will also host a quarterly event where you can meet with your mentee.

We have taken your feedback into account and have made several changes to the program. The number of students will be limited and upperclassmen will be prioritized.

If you are interested in participating in the program, please sign up at this link by Wednesday, October 10. If you have any questions, please email Leah Garner at lmgarner@uchicago.edu. Thank you!
