The Texas Law Society is holding its opening meeting at lunch on Thursday, October 25th in Room C. The central focus of this meeting will be how to get a 1L firm job in Texas (because $3,500/week > $5,000/summer). Every year we have students get these jobs. At the very least, efforts now can better position you to get a job in Texas for your 2L summer. We will also be discussing why Texas is the best state you could possibly work in, the different markets in Texas, and (if we have time and Alisha is willing to teach us) how to two-step. The food will be a taco bar, and 1Ls are encouraged to come learn, while 2Ls and 3Ls are invited to come share their Texas job hunting experiences.
