The Secular Legal Society welcomes Lucien Greaves, Co-Founder and Spokesperson for The Satanic Temple, to speak about The Satanic Temple and the law. Advocating for acceptance of non-theistic religious exemption and privilege, The Satanic Temple has proven to be one of the nation’s most effective counter-balances against theocratic encroachments. The organization is best known for its ongoing legal efforts in two fields, to place a Satanic monument next to 10 Commandments monuments on public grounds, and to oppose reproductive rights restrictions nationwide (including Federal and State lawsuits in Missouri against the State’s mandatory 72-hour abortion waiting period).
