A big discussion in our community today is to what extent our government officials may be held accountable for their actions especially in the situations where their actions go against the mandate they’ve been given or where it’s contrary to the values shared by the community. Join BLSA as we hear from Sharon Fairley on her work with The Independent Police Review Authority now the Civitan Office on Police Accountability and how that machine worked in its unique capacity and other ways for civilians to get involved in this discussion such as through her work with Office of the Inspector General for the City of Chicago.
