The presidential election is likely to have momentous implications for the Supreme Court, perhaps in the immediate aftermath of the election and almost certainly in the next four years. Geoffrey R. Stone and David A. Strauss recently coauthored a book on the Warren Court. Generally regarded as the last truly liberal Supreme Court, the Warren Court was responsible for major advances in civil rights, voting rights, and criminal justice. Stone and Strauss will discuss the Supreme Court’s likely role in the future and what we can learn from the Warren Court about what that role will be and should be.
