Presenting student organizations: One for the World

One for the World, co-sponsoring with Harvard Law School EA, presents "Moral Psychology and Effective Altruism." Presented by Prof. Steven Pinker, Johnstone Family Professor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard, will be giving a talk on how we can draw on insights from moral psychology to critique and defend effective altruism. The talk will be followed by a Q&A.

Steven Pinker, Johnstone Professor of Psychology at Harvard University, is an experimental psychologist who conducts research in visual cognition, psycholinguistics, and social relations. He has won numerous prizes for his research, his teaching, and his nine books, including The Language InstinctHow the Mind Works, and The Better Angels of Our Nature. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences, a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, a Humanist of the Year, a recipient of nine honorary doctorates, and one of Foreign Policy’s “World’s Top 100 Public Intellectuals” and Time’s “100 Most Influential People in the World Today.”
