Law School Roundtables: Law Firm Mandatory Arbitration Clauses for Associates
Room VI
1111 East 60th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60637
In the interest of facilitating conversations about important legal issues across viewpoints, the Law School faculty and the Office of the Dean of Students are organizing and a hosting a series of conversations with students hosted by faculty members and other members of the Law School community. The roundtables are styled after the faculty weekly roundtables, where faculty members gather over lunch to discuss various topics of legal and societal import. Join Professors Daniel Hemel and Sarah Konsky for a discussion about law firm mandatory arbitration clauses. Students will consider whether law firms should be allowed to include mandatory arbitration provisions in contracts with their associates and, if not, students will discuss who should stop law firms from doing so.
Space is limited and RSVPs are required. Please register at https://www.law.uchicago.edu/form/may-7-2018-law-school-roundtable.
