The Law and Economics Society: Ron Unz on Ivy League Admissions

2/20

Open to the public

Ron Unz is the founder of Wall Street Analytics, a former candidate for governor of California and the current publisher of The American Conservative. His recent article The Myth of American Meritocracy received a Sidney Award as one of the best magazine essays of 2012 from David Brooks of the New York Times. The piece also garnered widespread attention in the AtlanticNational Review Online, and the SCOTUS Blog, and also provoked discussion in the Room for Debate section of the New York Times website.

Mr. Unz will speak about his research into Ivy League admissions, and argue that, despite their protestations to the contrary and Supreme Court precedent, Ivy League schools have been using racial quotas for decades.
