A number of jurisdictions require fingerprints for some or all bar applicants. Please check the state bar website where you will be sitting for the bar exam to determine if you can submit ink fingerprints, or if it is one of the states that requires Live Scan fingerprints. 

There is a free fingerprinting service offered through the Department of Safety and Security at the University of Chicago that is available to members of the University community. UCPD will be available between 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM for fingerprinting in the Green Lounge.
