Companies like to boast that the food they are selling is nutritious and healthy. Claims like “Non-GMO,” “natural,” “whole grain,” or “organic” misleadingly suggest food that is fresh and wholesome. The law is struggling to discipline the dissemination of information intended to deceive consumers. In this lecture, Professor Omri Ben-Shahar demonstrates the surprising prevalence of food deception and the political forces that shape it.

This event is co-sponsored by the Coase-Sandor Institute for Law and Economics.

Lunch will be served.
