NRDC attorneys Evan Feinauer ’15, Sarah Tallman, and Anjali Waikar will discuss their recent litigation efforts undertaken on behalf of residents of Flint, Michigan. NRDC, in conjunction with Concerned Pastors for Social Action and the ACLU of Michigan, have filed suit seeking federal court intervention to secure access to safe drinking water, free from harmful lead contaminants. Filed in the Eastern District of Michigan, the complaint asks the court to compel city and state officials to follow federal drinking water testing and treatment standards to control for contamination and to promote replacement of all lead water pipes.
