Voting Access Chicago is an exciting initiative of Equip for Equality, Illinois’ Disability Rights Organization. We will be surveying polling places during the 2018 and subsequent elections to ensure that recommended fixes to polling places have been made and that by 2020 all polling places are fully accessible.

Our goal is simple: ensure that Chicago’s 460,000 older adults and people with disabilities are able to vote at their local polling places -- like everyone else! This project will make the promise of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Help America Vote Act a reality by ensuring everyone can vote privately and independently. Together we can make a difference!
