Join the Environmental Law Society and Law of the Land as they welcome Kim Wasserman, Executive Director of the Little Village Environmental Justice Organization (LVEJO), to speak on community organizing around environmental issues in communities of color. Ms. Wasserman has done work to shut down two coal plants, to force polluters to comply with the law, and to improve communities of color that have been harmed by issues of environmental justice. She will talk about her experience in those areas, and highlight best practices for lawyers working on issues of environmental justice in communities of color.
