Please join ELS for a tour of The Plant. The main facility tour will be followed by a separate brewery tour and an opportunity to eat pizza/beer with friends. We hope this event will be a cool experience for students to learn more about circular economies and reimagining waste as well as spend time with fellow students.

ELS will provide transportation, tour tickets, and food. Please simply RSVP and meet us in front of the Law School at 1:30pm to depart

The Plant is a repurposed 100,000 sq. ft. industrial meatpacking facility that now serves as a hub for more than 20 small businesses. These businesses operate as a closed-loop economy within the facility, meaning the products of one business are used to produce those of another business, demonstrating techniques for reimagining waste and encouraging others to implement similar techniques to combat climate change. Some of the businesses at The Plant include indoor and outdoor farms, kombucha and beer breweries, a bakery, a cheese distributor, and a coffee roaster. For more information on The Plant, see here.

A visitor’s decision to be present on campus and/or in University facilities serves as their acknowledgment and acceptance of the potential risks posed to them by COVID-19.
