Environmental Law Society, Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and Human Rights Law Society are pleased to welcome Professor Amir Jina from the Harris School of Public Policy.

Professor Jina will discuss current empirical bases in support of the contention that climate change significantly exacerbates global inequality. In particular, he will discuss this in the context of disaster recovery and wealth effects at the individual level. Professor Jina will also explore climate change policy-making predicated on a Social Cost of Carbon that uses best available science and modeling to monetize the marginal cost of GHG emissions.
