Domestic and Sexual Violence Project, Office of Career Services, and Public Interest Law Society present: Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Panel Featuring a Morgan Lewis associate, an Equal Justice Works Fellow, and two law students with government and nonprofit experience Wednesday, November 9 at 12:15 PM, Room V Z&H Served Panelists: -Mikaela R. Shaw, ’15, is an associate at Morgan Lewis who summered at the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation as a law student and now has an active pro bono practice focused on representing survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault; Mikaela is also a member of the Young Professional Board for the Domestic Violence Legal clinic. -Rachel Zemke, '16, was awarded an Equal Justice Works Fellowship to launch a program representing survivors of domestic violence who are facing debt collection, identity theft, and credit history issues. -Emily Hoffman, '17, spent her 1L summer as a law clerk for the Domestic Violence Division of the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, served on the DV task force at LAF during her 2L year, and has represented clients in Order of Protection hearings through DSVP's Pro Bono League. -Alison Frost, ’18, spent her 1L summer interning at Boston's Victim Rights Law Center—a nonprofit that provides victims of rape and sexual assault with free civil legal assistance in the areas of privacy, education, immigration, employment, public benefits, housing, and safety.
