How do people of different faiths come together toward common goals? As advocates, lawyers, and influencers of public policy, how can law students think about making change and partnering across difference?

Rabbi Michael Siegel of Anshe Emet Synagogue in Chicago and Reverend Robert W. Lee IV of Unifour Church in North Carolina became friends and colleagues through their shared work in combating hatred, oppression, and inequality. They will talk about their work fighting anti-Semitism and anti-religious actions, including dealing with misunderstandings and myths even within faith communities. They will examine how interfaith dialogue can shed light on such varied topics as Confederate statues, BDS and anti-BDS legislation, LGBTQ+ rights, and white supremacism, and discuss how constructive work and friendship can thrive amongst people and communities who do not agree on everything.
