Join the D'Angelo Law Library team on Thursday, October 26 at lunch time for its program, D'Angelo Dialogues, with speaker, Susan Nevelow Mart, Professor Emeritus, University of Colorado Law School, and former Director of the William A. Wise Law Library.

Ms. Nevelow Mart will speak on the topic, Hunting and Gathering on the Legal Information Savannah: Algorithms, user interfaces, and large language models mediate our research environment. We use these systems and we need to communicate properly with them. Knowledge about how groups of humans create and deploy the systems – and how that affects the results and the process - will make you a better communicator. And that will make you better at extracting the knowledge you need from the massive online legal research systems we use to find solutions to legal problems.

Susan Nevelow Mart has written and presented nationally on the effects of algorithms on legal research, legal information policy, national security and libraries, access to information, computer information retrieval systems, and legal research pedagogy.

D'Angelo Dialogues is a quarterly program hosted by the D'Angelo Law Library on topics related to libraries, law schools, and legal information. This autumn quarter's program is on Thursday, October 26, from 12:15 to 1:20 PM in Law School classroom F. Lunch will be available.
