Corporate Lab

Professor David Zarfes and Lecturer Sean Z. Kramer, two of the program co-founders, currently run the Corporate Lab with Lecturers David Finkelstein and Ellis Regenbogen. For several years prior to the Corporate Lab’s founding in 2009, Professor Zarfes taught similar experiential labs in addition to more traditional courses at the Law School. The objectives of the Corporate Lab are to provide students with “real-world” experience and context, to prepare them to become well-rounded legal practitioners with sound legal and business judgment, and to provide them with opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects with multinational companies. By working on actual projects and through classroom instruction, students in the Corporate Lab learn practical legal and business skills and knowledge.

In addition, the Corporate Lab hosts an ongoing speaker series throughout the academic year, bringing in experienced practitioners and other esteemed guests to discuss business-and-law topics of current interest, the practical aspects of particular areas of law, and other topics of interest to the speaker and students.

The Corporate Lab has attracted the participation of some of the Law School’s finest talent—those students at the top of their class soon to become associates at top law firms, clerks for judges at the federal appellate level, and future leaders of major corporations—and the legal departments at some of the world’s premier companies.
