Lawyers as Leaders

Lawyers as Leaders ("LAL") is committed to developing leadership skills. LAL was founded on the belief that the best method of grappling with the concept of leadership is to hear the struggles, blunders, and celebrations of those who have achieved their own success. LAL attempts to achieve this goal through its speaker symposium.

LAL speakers are encouraged to arrive without ideological agendas. Instead, the speakers offer their autobiographical presentations in an apolitical forum. Our speakers share what decisions, qualities, and setbacks led to their successes. In the end, LAL's primary goals are two-fold: first to provide Chicago students with tools they can use to assume the roles of leadership available to them in the future. Second, on a simpler level, to attract speakers whose presentations will be memorable for everyone at the Law School.
