Claire Parins

Senior Director of Academic Publications Communications Journals

Before joining the University of Chicago Law School, Claire served as director of periodicals at the American Bar Association (ABA) where she led a group of 22 editors to publish nearly 100 magazines, newsletters, and journals for the association.

She is currently an editorial board member of Human Rights, a magazine published by the ABA’s Section of Civil Rights & Social Justice. She was a staff attorney at the Shriver Center on Poverty Law and editor of its flagship publication, Clearinghouse Review, a national poverty law journal. She also served as one of the first directors of content at Illinois Legal Aid Online.

She holds a JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a BA in political science from Northwestern University.
