Anthony B. Derron

Harry A. Bigelow Teaching Fellow, Lecturer in Law

Tony Derron is a Bigelow Teaching Fellow and Lecturer in Law. His research emphasizes the ways in which the environment influences and reflects law and society. He utilizes environmental law as a lens to interrogate the assumptions and theories underlying other fields, like property and administrative law.

Prior to joining the Law School, Tony served at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, spearheading its multistate environmental efforts, as well as representing state agencies in litigation and rulemakings. Before that, he clerked for Chief Judge Brimmer on the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and Justice Hood on the Colorado Supreme Court. 

Tony holds a JD from Yale Law School and a BS in Business and Political Economy from NYU Stern School of Business.
