William Ridgway is as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, where he is a member of the National Security Section. As a federal prosecutor, Mr. Ridgway has investigated and prosecuted cases involving terrorism, cybercrime, fraud, and narcotics trafficking. As part of his duties, Mr. Ridgway serves as the National Security Cyber Specialist and the Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Coordinator for the Office. Mr. Ridgway is also a member of the Local Executive Board for the Chicago Regional Computer Forensics Lab.
Mr. Ridgway received his J.D. with distinction from Stanford Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Stanford Law Review. He earned his B.S. with distinction in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University. Mr. Ridgway clerked for the Honorable Vaughn R. Walker of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and for the Honorable Richard A. Posner of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
