A tours of the D’Angelo Law Library will take place on the second day. Meet Associate Law Librarian Margaret A. Schilt at the library on the second floor.
Distinguished Guest Lecture, Wednesday July 11, Noon-1:30 pm
Lunch and learn on this day and hear from Steven Levitt, the William B. Ogden Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago, and director of the Becker Center on Chicago Price Theory. Professor Levitt has taught at Chicago since 1997. He was awarded the John Bates Clark Medal in 2004 and co-authored Freakonomics and SuperFreakonomics.

Join Rebecca Starkey, Librarian for College Instruction and Outreach, for a tour of the University of Chicago’s main library, Regenstein. Meet our own Associate Law Librarian, Margaret Schilt, near the Law School reception desk at 12:40PM to walk over to the world-renowned library.
Picnic at the Lake, Thursday, July 12, 5:00 pm
Stroll through the Hyde Park neighborhood to the lake front for a picnic on the beach. Promontory Point. If the weather permits, you can swim at nearby 57th Street beach. We will meet at 5:00 pm to walk through Hyde Park to the lakefront. Wear comfortable shoes and come hungry!
Distinguished Guest Lecture, Friday July 13, Noon-1:30 pm
Lunch and learn on this day and hear from Martha Nussbaum, the Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics at the University of Chicago. Appointed in both the Law School and Philosophy Department, she also is an Associate in the Classics Department, the Divinity School, and the Political Science Department, a Member of the Committee on Southern Asian Studies, and a Board Member of the Human Rights Program.Professor Nussbaum has Among her awards are the Grawemeyer Award in Education (2002), the Centennial Medal of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University (2010), the Prince of Asturias Prize in the Social Sciences (2012), the American Philosophical Association's Philip Quinn Prize (2015), and the Kyoto Prize in Arts and Philosophy (2016).

Cocktails & Coversation with Dr. Richard Sandor, Monday, July 16, 5:30 pm
We’ll all gather at the University’s Quadrangle Club first for a group photo (5:30 pm), followed by cocktails, remarks and reception (6:00 pm). The Guest of Honor will be Dr. Richard L. Sandor, and we are pleased to announce that Dean Tom Miles will be in attendance. The attire is semi-formal (or business or business casual).
