The Law School community gathered on February 26 for the Ninth Annual Judge James B. Parsons Legacy Dinner to honor Judge Kai Niambi Scott of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The dinner is hosted each year by the Law School's Earl B. Dickerson Chapter of the Black Law Students Association, celebrating the integration of the federal judiciary. Law School graduate Judge Parsons, '49, was the first African American to serve as a federal judge under Article III in the continental United States. Each year, the dinner honors a distinguished African American federal jurist who is a role model for future lawyers.
