Madsen v. Kinsella

343 U.S. 341 (1952)

In a habeas corpus proceeding, the United States Supreme Court held that the civilian defendant could be tried in a military-government tribunal established in the American-occupied portion of West Germany. The petitioner in this case was the dependent wife of a member of the United States Armed Forces, who was charged with murdering her husband in violation of the German Criminal Code.
