This program will discuss the importance of LGBT rights in discussions of immigration equity.  The program will address the practical aspects of these issues (specific cases) as well as the more philosophical and policy concerns regarding LGBT immigrant rights (same sex marriage, children, etc.).  Organized by OutLaw & Latino/a Law Students Association. This Diversity Month event will feature a panel discussion on the legacy of Buck v. Bell in contemporary guardianship law.  Organized by the Disability Law Society.  Sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Students. Lunch will be provided.  

Join Chaturanga Holistic Fitness instructor Clara Mitchell for an introduction to restorative yoga, with an emphasis on poses and stretches for individuals who spend most of their days sitting down.  If you have a mat, please feel free to bring one, although they are not required.  Sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Students.  This program also qualifies for 10 Keystone point

This Diversity Month event will discuss the University’s past discrimination against surrounding communities, including racial restrictive covenants. The speaker will explain the University’s complicated relationship with the South Side, including the Law School’s involvement with and support of certain controversial decisions. Organized by Neighbors.

Dan Currell, '97, and Anna Ivey, '97, both graduated from the Law School fifteen years ago. They both started their careers practicing law at large law firms, and fairly quickly realized that their talents, education, and skills could open other doors. Through hard work and a lot of creative career thinking, Dan and Anna both found the jobs they were born to do.
