The Phoenix (student newspaper)
Since the Phoenix's inception in 1901, students have looked to it for their satirical law school news. We think. Students may be looking for real news. We're not really sure. But the Phoenix is the school's only newspaper, so they're going to take what we give them. Regardless, the Phoenix is unusual among law school newspapers, in that students read it. More unusual still, is the fact that students enjoy reading the Phoenix. This is undoubtedly the result of the Phoenix's renowned staff of writers, many of who have read or purchased books suggested by the renowned Oprah's Book Club. Coincidentally, Oprah, a Chicago resident, has never publicly stated that she does not read the Phoenix. She could be reading the Phoenix all the time, that's all we're saying.
