Organization's mission: 

The U visa provides protection against deportation and access to immigration benefits for victims of certain crimes –
including domestic violence – if they demonstrate cooperation with law enforcement and meet other legal requirements.

Volunteers will serve immigrant victims of crimes by working with clients to prepare U visa applications.

Estimated time necessary for completion of project: 

Volunteers must commit to one Saturday workshop plus one follow-up visit to NIJC’s office.

Qualifications needed for this project, if any: 

Be fluent in Spanish (or partner with someone who is fluent in Spanish)

Commit to the Saturday workshop plus one follow-up visit to NIJC’s office

Understand they may work with clients who have experienced trauma
