Sharon Fairley is an Assistant United States Attorney and a member of a new section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago that is focused on violent crime. As a federal prosecutor, Sharon has investigated and prosecuted cases involving national security, firearms and narcotics trafficking, violent crimes and complex fraud schemes.
Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Sharon served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Appeals Bureau of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
Prior to practicing law, Sharon held positions in advertising, marketing management and consulting and through which she advised multi-national corporations on the promotion of well-known consumer and pharmaceutical products.
Sharon received her JD from the University of Chicago where she was the Business Editor of the Legal Forum. Sharon graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering. Sharon also holds an M.B.A. in marketing from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
