Kelli Alces is the Loula Fuller and Dan Myers Professor of Law at Florida State University. She is visiting at the Law School for the fall 2014 term. Alces’s scholarship focuses on corporate governance. She has written about corporate governance in bankruptcy, corporate fiduciary duties, issues in shareholder representation, boards of directors, and executive compensation. Her recent scholarship has particularly focused on investment diversification. Alces teaches Property, Corporations, Securities Regulation, and Bankruptcy at Florida State and will teach Business Organizations at the Law School.
Alces has been a visiting professor at the George Mason University School of Law, the University of Iowa College of Law, and the University of Richmond School of Law. Before entering academia, she was an associate at the Chicago law firm of Gardner, Carton & Douglas.
