Explore Chicago's Legal Community Day 2013

New 1Ls had the chance to tour several downtown legal offices.
A panel of federal judges spoke over lunch at Sidley Austin.
The day was optional, but 170 1Ls participated.
Ruby Garrett, '16, visited the Federal Public Defender office.
The students heard a lot of advice from attorneys and judges.
Students chat with Judge Diane Wood, new Chief Judge of the Seventh Circuit.
3L Stephanie Yesnik was one of the guides.
Some students met with U.S. Attorney Gary Shapiro.
Shapiro talked to the students about how his office runs.
Charlotte Wager of Jenner and Block gave a presentation on networking.
The students were treated to great views from several downtown firms.
1Ls participate in a breakout networking exercise.
At the end of the day, they got to practice networking even more, with food.
