Adam Mortara Wins At En Banc Eleventh Circuit As Court-Appointed Amicus

Bartlit Beck partner Adam Mortara prevailed before the en banc Eleventh Circuit in Wilson v. Warden.  The Court appointed Mortara as a special amicus curiae to assist it in deciding the proper interpretation of the primary federal statute governing habeas corpus petitions by state prisoners.  The Court wrote in its opinion, "We thank Mr. Mortara for his service to this Court on short notice and for his superb brief and oral argument in keeping with the highest tradition of the legal profession."

Mortara has taught federal habeas corpus and federal courts at the University of Chicago Law School since 2007.
