International Human Rights Clinic Spurs Chicago Domestic Violence Resolution

The International Human Rights Clinic worked with City of Chicago attorneys on a resolution (PDF) that was adopted on October 8, recognizing that “domestic violence [i]s a human rights concern” and resolving “that the City is committed to respond diligently to acts of domestic violence, and that each of the City’s departments shall incorporate the principles embodied in this resolution into their policies and practices.” Chicago the thirteenth municipality in the nation (and the largest) to adopt such a resolution.
