Legal Aid Clinic Helps Entrepreneurs Cut Through Chicago's Regulatory Red Tape

Chicago's entrepreneurs have a dedicated ally in their struggle to navigate the maze of regulatory red tape thrown up by city politicians and bureaucrats.

The Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship, a legal aid shop based at the University of Chicago School of Law, does pro bono work on behalf of small-business owners who don't have the time or financial wherewithal to fight city hall.

Since 1998, the clinic has partnered with U of C law students to provide an array of services for entrepreneurs struggling to build their companies under the weight of the city’s notoriously burdensome regime of business laws, regulations and licenses.
