In the fall of 2002, the Housing Initiative represented Claretian Associates in closing on the land and financing for the construction of up to twenty-two single family homes and two-flats in the culturally diverse neighborhood of South Chicago. These three-bedroom homes are built on double lots and feature environmentally friendly materials and high-efficiency mechanical and electrical systems. As the homes are built, the Housing Initiative represents the developer at the closing of the sales of the homes to low-income buyers. For more on this project, visit Claretian Associates' website.
