Naveen Thomas codirects and teaches the Corporate Lab Transactional Clinic, through which students gain experience as transactional attorneys by working on projects for corporate clients. He also instructs separate courses focused on contract drafting and professional skills.
Before coming to Chicago, he was an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Shearman & Sterling in New York, where his practice focused primarily on business combinations, joint ventures, and corporate governance. He has also worked at law firms in Santiago, Chile and Paris, France and at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Arusha, Tanzania.
Naveen holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Economics from New York University, a J.D. from Columbia University, and a Master in Global Business Law from the Institut d’Études Politiques (Sciences Po) and the Université de Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. He speaks English, French, and Spanish and is conversational in Portuguese.
