Naveen Thomas

Naveen Thomas holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Economics from New York University, a J.D. from Columbia University, and a Master in Global Business Law from the Institut d’Études Politiques (Sciences Po) and the Université de Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. Before coming to Chicago, he was an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Shearman & Sterling in New York, where his practice focused primarily on business combinations, joint ventures, and corporate governance. He has also worked at law firms in Santiago, Chile and Paris, France and at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Arusha, Tanzania. At the Law School, his course offerings focus on various aspects of business law. In particular, he teaches the Corporate Lab clinic, which trains students as transactional attorneys by allowing them to work on projects for corporate clients. He speaks English, French, and Spanish and is conversational in Portuguese.
