Sallie Smylie

Sallie G. Smylie is a partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.  She graduated from Salem College with a B.A. degree in History in 1977.  She received her J.D. degree with honors from the DePaul University College of Law in 1989, where she served on the DePaul Law Review. 

Ms. Smylie joined Kirkland & Ellis upon graduation from law school in 1989.  She became a partner in 1995.  Ms. Smylie has extensive litigation experience in a wide range of complex litigation matters including employment discrimination, product liability, commercial, and shareholder derivative litigation. 

Ms. Smylie lives in Oak Park.  She and her husband Mark have three daughters.
