Laura A. Skosey is a lecturer in the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Chicago. Her research interest is early Chinese law (ca. 1200 BCE–220 CE) and excavated texts, and she currently teaches premodern literary Chinese. Ms. Skosey received her master's and PhD from the University of Chicago in 1996, and since then has taught at the University of Chicago and Michigan State University. She lives in Kenwood with her husband, who is a professor in the Harris School, and their three children.
