Daniel Rubinstein

Dan is a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig where he focuses his practice on white collar criminal matters, government investigations, corporate internal investigations, and complex civil litigation. Before joining Greenberg Traurig, he served for more than seven years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in both Los Angeles and Chicago and for approximately three years as a Deputy District Attorney in Oakland, California.  
 
As a former Assistant U.S. Attorney, Dan has investigated and prosecuted a wide range of federal criminal cases involving complex corporate and securities fraud, racketeering, money laundering, public corruption, terrorism financing, international drug trafficking, and gangs. In 2007, he was awarded the Department of Justice's Director's Award for Superior Performance as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and has twice received the Chicago Crime Commission's "Stars of Distinction" award for separate significant prosecutions.
 
At Greenberg Traurig, Dan has represented individuals before U.S. Attorneys' offices, the SEC, and the NYSE and has conducted significant internal investigations for public and private corporations.
 
Dan has tried 20 cases to verdict in state and federal court, and prevailed in each of them. He has also successfully litigated numerous appeals before the Seventh and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals, and conducted more than 100 bench trials and contested evidentiary hearings in state and federal court.
 
After graduating from law school, Dan was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Ernest C. Torres in the United States District Court, District of Rhode Island, for two years.

He graduated from Boston University School of Law, cum laude, in 1995, and received his BA, with honors, from Brown University in 1991.
