Arden Rowell received a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Washington at the age of eighteen.  Before law school, she wrote historical and archaeological encyclopaedia entries and worked as a video game tester.  She graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 2006.  After graduation, she practiced at Perkins Coie LLP in Seattle.  Her current research focuses on risk and uncertainty, particularly in the fields of administrative and environmental law.  Additional areas of interest include behavioral law and economics, property law, and indigenous law.
