Michele Baker Richardson received her B.A. from Brown University in economics and her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1990, where she was a Notes Editor for the Yale Law Journal. After graduation, she clerked for the late Judge A. Leon Higginbotham Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and completed a teaching fellowship at Stanford Law School.

Prior to moving to the Chicago area in 1994, Ms. Richardson practiced law with Hogan & Hartson L.L.C. in Washington, D.C., with a focus on corporate health law. In addition to serving as a member of the adjunct faculty at Chicago-Kent College of Law, she has worked in student services, as the Director of Academic Assistance Programs at both Kent and DePaul University College of Law.

Ms. Richardson has also served on the boards of several community services organizations, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Advocate Health Care.
