Richard F. Friedman
Richard F. Friedman is a managing attorney with Neal & Leroy, LLC, in Chicago, where he concentrates his practice in eminent domain, land use, local government law, and litigation. He received his B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. A former Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago, Mr. Friedman has written and lectured on eminent domain, historic preservation and land use. He also teaches Historic Preservation Law at the University of Chicago Law School and in the Graduate Program in Historic Preservation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has been general counsel to and a board member of Landmarks Illinois, an preservation advocacy organization.
