Ralph Reisner

Ralph Reisner  is on leave as director, Center for the Study of Global Banking and Financial Services of the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at the University of California, San Diego where he teaches courses in the fields of banking and international financial law.  Between 1964 and 1992, Professor Reisner was a professor of law at the University of Illinois College of Law at Champaign-Urbana.  From 1993 to 2000, he was on the faculty at Northwestern University School of Law. Over the past twenty years, Mr. Reisner has at various times served as a consultant on bank regulatory matters to the Inter-American Development Bank and to the World Bank.  He is the author and editor of numerous books pertaining to international finance and banking, including: Regulation of Foreign Banks: United States and International (with Gruson), 4th edition, Lexis (2005).  Professor Reisner is a member of the American Law Institute and has been admitted to the bar in California, Illinois, and District of Columbia.
