Shannon T. Murphy

Shannon is currently a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Amy J. St. Eve of the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Prior to her clerkship, Shannon worked as an associate at Winston & Strawn, where she focused her practice on white collar criminal matters, corporate internal investigations, and complex civil litigation. Shannon began her career as a Criminal Defense Attorney Fellow at Cabrini Green Legal Aid.  At Cabrini, she ran the organization’s juvenile criminal docket and handled a variety of adult criminal cases.

Shannon graduated from the University of Chicago Law School with high honors in 2009 and was Order of the Coif. During her time at the University of Chicago, she worked in the Juvenile Justice Project of the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Duke University in 2006.
