Graham Murphy
Graham is a Principal in the Chicago office of KPMG LLP’s Forensic Advisory Services practice, where he is the Midwest Practice Leader. In addition, Graham is also the Global and National Industry and Go-To-Market Leader for KPMG’s Forensic practices world wide. Graham focuses on Investigative and Integrity Advisory Services, and has over 20-years of experience providing a wide range of professional services to private enterprise, public companies, institutions and organizations.
Graham has been responsible for conducting numerous financial investigations that have included alleged earnings management, contract compliance, theft and misappropriation of assets, conflict of interest issues, etc. Other engagements have been undertaken to assess compliance with stated corporate policies, and standards of acceptable behavior. Typically these investigations require the assessment of the scheme relative to the fraud/misstatement, the quantification of losses/diverted funds, and the identification of responsible parties. In addition, Graham has served as a neutral arbitrator in adjudicating disputes relating to the purchase and sale of businesses. Graham also has an extensive background in business valuations, quantification of damages and other financial investigations. Graham has provided testimony to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and has appeared as an expert witness before the Ontario Court (General Division) and to the Ontario Municipal Board.
In addition, Graham has served clients in a variety of industries including: Food and Consumer Products; Industrial Manufacturers; Oil and Gas; Forestry; Chemicals; Insurance; Household Goods; Professional Services Organizations.
