Mark Schneider
Mark E. Schneider has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Chicago since 2004 and currently serves as a Deputy Chief of the Financial Crimes and Special Prosecutions Section and heads the office’s Healthcare Fraud Strike Force. Mr. Schneider also served for approximately one year at U.S. Embassy Baghdad and later was a member of the Joint Campaign Plan Advisory Team responsible for reviewing U.S. strategic planning in Iraq. Prior to joining the Justice Department, Mr. Schneider clerked for the Honorable Diarmuid F. O'Scannlain, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; worked as a business consultant with the Boston Consulting Group; and served on the staff of U.S. Senator Richard G. Lugar. He studied at Indiana University, Oxford University (as Marshall Scholar), and Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. He is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
