Jeffrey Lange

Mr. Lange is a Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners where he focuses on insurance products.  In his role at Guggenheim, Mr. Lange is CEO of Guggenheim Life and Annuity Company, an Iowa domiciled life insurance company. Mr. Lange earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Engineering from Stanford University, earned his law degree from Yale, and did his doctoral work in Risk and Insurance at the Wharton School.

Before becoming a practitioner in the financial markets, Mr. Lange was on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Lange began his financial career in the insurance group at Bankers Trust Company.

Following Bankers Trust, he founded two investment funds for Credit Suisse.  He later founded Longitude, Inc, a commodities and futures exchange which was sold to the International Securities Exchange (now part of Eurex) in 2004.  His previously published academic research covers law and economics, a book on market microstructure, and papers on the term structure of interest rates.  Mr. Lange holds numerous patents in financial services.
