Neha Lall is a Staff Attorney in Legal Assistance Foundation's Housing Practice Group, where she represents low-income tenants in a full-range of housing matters. Ms. Lall's practice maintains a special focus on issues related to violence against women. Previously, she was a Staff Attorney at Life Span, where she represented battered women in domestic relations and immigration matters. At Life Span, Ms. Lall also staffed the state’s first legal services initiative aimed at providing free civil representation to victims of non-intimate partner sexual assault. She litigated the first successful appeal under the Illinois Civil No Contact Order Act, which provides protection to sexual assault victims. Ms. Lall previously served as a Clinical Law Fellow at Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, where she taught in the Domestic Violence Clinic. She was also Clinical Fellow in the AIDS Law Clinic at Wilmer Hale Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School. Ms. Lall began her work with survivors of domestic and sexual violence in 1998 as a legal advocate at SAFE House in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She earned her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 2002.
